Sylvia Garcia won't be any better than Ellis.

I see we have reached the "irrational fears" portion of the the debate?
LOL at Estes "I would suggest if someone had and irrational feat of searing a gun that they get help in some sort of clinical setting."

Lying? Or just making statistics up? Oh wait, they're the same thing. Never mind.

It's an entertaining new experience for me in this respect:
I stopped by Senator Watkins' office a week or so ago to say Thank You for his authoring a bill legalizing lane splitting in Texas. So I'm conflicted - can't demonize him since he's with me on another issue, darn it!
I enjoyed Alice Tripp's talk at the TSRA convention this month - about how 'we don't insult people'! It can be awfully hard, at times, but you never know how your paths will cross over time.

Wow, and now he's asking if you show your handgun, if it is exposed at all, and that person is shot and killed and the person who inflicted the injury claims self defense...is that sufficient to warrant a self defense claim? Wait, is that with or without unicorns in the field?

"Senator, if your district doesn't support open carry, then your district won't see much open carry by its own constituents. Problem solved"

Estes has missed some golden opportunities to cut some of these other Senators of at the knees.
For instance when Sen West ask if "will the actual voting be different than the implementation of this bill" I would have replied...
"Yes Sen West, like every bill ever passed in these chambers ever, the voting and implementation of a bill are two different things."
