How about a dropleg that is properly worn high on the thigh... it has a strap that attaches to the belt... does that count?
I don't know about you, I would try either of these two in Hutto, San Angelo, Aubrey, or Dumas... but not in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, or Dallas.
Most of us don't live in a combat zone yet. No need to run around looking like soldiers.
Agreed. A high ride Safariland ALS would serve me the best. Point is, big cities might go nuts and do stupid things like declare paddle holsters or drop legs as not a compliant "belt holsters" because they are liberal clowns looking to cause problems.
And it's hard to have it be a problem if they don't see it (I will most likely CC, just like the knowing if I expose, it's okay).

I speculate the intent of the belt or shoulder holster requirement was more of a not just tucked in your waistband or carried in your hand requirement. A paddle holster vs a holster your belt threads through vs your shirt raised above the grip (exposed) on an IWB holster with j-hooks/clips/straps is not the issue. If a paddle holster is not "legal" for OC, neither would an IWB holster with j-clips. I think they both easily meet the intent. However, this is not legal advice, IANAL, blah, blah, blah...

Darn! Me and my homies like to carry shoved down the front of our jeans (at 12o'clock). Then we just pull up our jerseys and intimidate the peeps with rock hard abs and heavy iron.

The next person that includes all of the previously quoted text in their post that has already been quoted should have to write 'I will not include previously quoted posts ever again'!

I'd feel much better about this if he would cut some notches to feed the belt through.
Poor man's barbecue rig.

The fact of the matter is that one would probably judge THIS holster to be a paddle holster at first glance:

Hint: it
IS NOT a paddle holster.....

As long as it is a decent holster and in good condition, whatever the law says, I seriously doubt that most LEOs would notice that you had on a paddle holster as long as you didn't get to playing slap and tickle with them.

I think that you have to pay attention to whatever the law says, but I believe that both of the holsters that you pictured meet the definition of a belt holster. They are both worn on the belt!
P.S. I am not sure exactly what you mean, but I don't plan on playing slap and tickle with them.
