The mag carrier is from Gun Leather Inc in Fort Worth. Very inexpensive but extremely well made. It has a spring steel belt clip on the back for easy on/off but has never come off during a reload. It's good stuff.

In the meantime, the Sig goes with me in the car because it's a little easier to conceal with the holster I have for it, and the H&K is a "bedside" gun. I also take the H&K as a sidearm when hunting.
That 1911 is SWEET!

I've always been a sucker for a Stainless Steel Lady though :)

LedJedi, that 1911 was a score too. I bought it as a CPO pistol for $699.00, when Sig sells them NIB for $1,150.00. It was completely factory refurbished with brand new everything, including barrel. It came stock with match barrel, match bushing, match trigger group, Novak low profile night sights, and those grips - which aren't as pretty as the originals, but have amazing grip. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has one of those external extractors like some other brands use too, but I'm getting used to it. I put an ambidextrous safety on it, as I'm left handed, and had the ramp polished up for good measure.

I've got two on my desk top in jpg format but don't see a posting option. How are you guys getting your shots on the thread?

Thanks!

You need a place to host the photos online (either your own webhost, or a free place like photobucket). Then you simply supply the code to link to your photo. Click the Img button above the text box, and insert your link between the tags.

I realize a picture is worth a thousand words, so while I try to figure this out, I'll just tell you what I carry (I'll use a lot less than 1,000..I doubt I know those many!) Anyway.. here in Central Texas, as you guys already know, we get to use our coats only two or three months out of the year.(1) That's when I carry my first purchase..made February 14th, 1987: S&W .357 /S.S./"K" Frame/Model 65-3 / 3" barrel with Packmar (sp?) grips. A friend who was a combat arms instructor at Lackland AFB, and a talented gunsmith, did a magnificent trigger job. A 1.5 LB pull. She's as crisp and reliable now as the day I got her just about 21 years ago!

(2) KAHR P9 / 9MM / 7 or 8 depending on the magazine. Very light weight, night sights and less than 1inch wide. Perfect for concealed carry.(3) S&W Model 637-2 / Airweight / 5 shot / snubbie. (4) Blued Taurus / Model 85 / Black rubber grips. I rotate 2 through 4 in the warmer months and sometimes carry all 3!! :O)

I fear I might have contracted "Snubbie Fever!" I haunt the pawn shops on the Austin Highway! That's where I got the Model 85s Taurus. I always check each prospective purchase with flashlight, credit card for gaps, piece of carpet for the "drop" and am more than pleased with my "used" handguns. The "KAHR" is the only one I've bought NIB.

I'm happy to see The Great State Of Texas has our own CHL sight. I got my license in '05 shortly after my wife and I were mugged outside an Olive Garden restaurant. I'll never forget the fear on her face and the feeling of helplessness I had. I use crutches and/or a wheel chair and am perceived by many scumb to be an easy mark. Never again. :mad5
