I don't know if I can watch another one. I tried very hard not to say bad words at the TV during the last one. Good thing there is playoff baseball on at the same time.flechero wrote: Tue Oct 16, 2018 12:19 pm Just saw on the news that the debate is back on! Tonight at 8pm.

The 1-hour debate will be in San Antonio tonight in the studios of KENS-TV starting at 8 p.m. It will be broadcast in 10 other media markets live, including on KHOU-TV in Houston and WFAA-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth. It will also air nationally on C-SPAN.
"To be clear, the Cruz campaign proposed that @CNN host one of the Cruz-O'Rourke debates. The O'Rourke campaign declined. @CNN subsequently offered back to back town halls, in which we are unable to participate," Cruz's campaign manager, Jeff Roe, wrote in a tweet that day.RoyGBiv wrote: Tue Oct 16, 2018 1:23 pmNot CNNTreyHouston wrote: Tue Oct 16, 2018 1:15 pm I dont see what Cruz has to gain by going on CNN! White-Irish-American guy with a Mexican nickname running on the D ticket.
Or as I like to sum it up, we have an Irishman pretending to be Hispanic running against a Latino who is pretending to be white.RoyGBiv wrote: Tue Oct 16, 2018 1:56 pmWhite-Irish-American guy with a Mexican nickname running on the D ticket.
Cuban-American-Canadian guy named "Ted" running on the R ticket.
It's 100% ok to find it confusing.![]()
Whenever I am asked how I will vote, my answer is always the same: "By secret ballot!"Soccerdad1995 wrote: Tue Oct 16, 2018 2:34 pm I got a text a few days ago from the O'Rourke camp asking how I was going to vote.

"I've thought about it, and I do like some of the things that Mr. O'Rourke is saying. But at the of the day, as a Latino, I just can't vote to put another White Irish man in Washington. We Latino's are way too under represented as it is.
I'm sticking with the Latino candidate and will be voting for Rafael Cruz."
Let's see if they try to "correct" me on who is who here.
Whooooooaaa. Waitaminnit. Will they use a NICKNAME on an official ballot? Ararararar. I bet "Robert Francis O'Rourke" would cost him a a few votes! I wonder if the ballot designers are Democrats.strogg wrote: Mon Oct 15, 2018 8:34 pm
And when they finally get to the polls, they'll see:
Ted Cruz [ ]
Beto O'Rourke [ ]
Sadly yes... it's allowed if he's been known by that nickname for 3 or more years prior.Ruark wrote: Tue Oct 16, 2018 4:23 pm Whooooooaaa. Waitaminnit. Will they use a NICKNAME on an official ballot?
