For those who are interested, the dates that I can remember:
Applied online: 05/12/09
Class: 05/16/09
Packet mailed out around: 05/24/09 (not sure when recieved or processing started)
Late July get a fingerprint redo, mailed off again mid august
New fingerprints recieved @ DPS: 08/20/09
License issued: 10/07/09
Just waiting on plastic; I confiscated the mailbox key from my sister!
About 150 days total with fingerprint issues.
Joe817, looks like yours was issued today too.

Yessir! Should get them the same day; I believe we live within a few miles of each other. I know we at least both shoot at winchester, which is about 5 minutes down 820 for me.

Sounds like a plan! Might be awhile before I can get out; last semester at ye ol' college is whomping me. Reminds me of this shirt I saw, it said something to the effect of "yay I graduated, now can I go back to bed?"

I was a May applicant that finally got approved and issued on Oct. 6. I still haven't received my plastic after 2 weeks. Anyone else suffering the same results? I'm sick of the endless wait!
I'm even moving to Florida in a couple months where is takes less than 2 weeks from application to plastic, but I'd still like to have my Texas CHL before leaving.
