Hello ladies and gents

I have been lurking this forum for a few weeks now and feel your pain. All in on 4/25 and confirmed 4/26 via email and so the wait began. As a recent refugee into this wonderful state of Texas coming from a Stalin type dictatorship ran Northeast state (NY) a 60 day wait on average is not bad at ALL for a chl/ltc. God bless Texas...loving every minute of it. I should had moved down here sooner.

Seems some are having better luck since the added staff and over time. Welcome to Texas!

I submitted all my paperwork and did my finger prints on May 12th but I havent even received a confirmation email. Should I wait a week or call them Monday?

My husband forgot to check the mail yesterday, so I just happen to check after church this morning. My daughter kept asking why I was hollering, "yeah woo hoo!!"

May 11th, I called in to say I had not received my CHL yet and was told I was accidentally sent back to review
I finally got my plastic in hand yesterday which was almost 120 days to the day.

After submitting my CHL-100 online on a Sunday evening, I didn't receive a confirmation until Thursday. I would give it at least a week or 2. If you do not hear anything back, call and place an inquiry to ensure they received all the information.

And so the wait begins. I'm not sure if what my instructor said about getting started with submitting before the class (yesterday) helping reduce the airgap between class and receiving, but let's hope that 2 weeks counts for something.

My prints have finally been recieved and sent to the FBI. Anyone have an idea what kind of timeline I'm still looking at? The only response I can get from RDS is " 4 to 6 weeks until they look at it."

There is no telling how long or how short the wait will be. I was all in on 2/16/16 and tomorrow that makes 91 calendar days, I uploaded support documents on 2/25/16 to be on the safe side and I think they are going from that date which would make it 81 calendar days. Either way it is a long time. The last time I spoke to them they told me it was in progress, in my mind it was in progress the day I submitted it.

I have seen people get in 26 days and some in 131 days. Its a roll of the dice. Hopefully you are one of the lucky ones! Good luck!

Doubt it, I did the fingerprints and application in January, the CHL course in February and submitted everything February 16th. Still waiting

My timeline:

March 9, 2016- Online application submitted with DPS and fingerprints scheduled

March 26, 2016- Fingerprints completed

April 3, 2016- LTC class completed, paperwork submitted with all supporting documents via scan and email to DPS.

April 4, 2016- Confirmation email

May 13, 2016- Status change on DPS website

May 16, 2016- Plastic in hand!
