Yep.I can hear him now: "Well, I brought it up for a vote. I can't control how many amendments are brought up. Not my fault it died".

I've said it before and I think we are seeing it in action, I don't think campus carry has a snowball's chance as long as Straus is speaker. His ties to UT leadership and contractors that benefit from work at UT run too deep.

I heard Straus say midnight is midnight. So no chance to suspend the rule and extend the time? Are there not enough votes to do that? I assume that's a 3/4 vote.

I believe they tried something similar earlier. I don't think they have the votes anyway.
