Today was the day! I was working today and my dad sends me a text saying I got it. I almost left just to get it. The bad thing is that I have to work tomorrow and I can't conceal in uniform. Also, the only way I can carry a weapon, in uniform, is if it's part of my duty.
Again thanks a lot for giving me a place to talk about the wait. It was a horrible 36 days, but I made it!

Well, another morning check in with no update....
Maybe we can get a roll call with status updates to see who is left and who is Wally walking?

Well that stat says "Mailed" since Saturday so I'm waiting for usps to deliver.

I called DPS this morning and receieved a very pleasant response of call back in 2 weeks....... They just told me what I already knew from the web site. Everything is clear and my background check is under review. The nice young lady had no interest of looking into why or looking any further. I guess I can try again later to see if I can get the same guy that was listed as being helpful in a previous post...

Man this has been a busy and stressful day. This is the first chance I had to check in on you guys. Nothing good in my mail today. I am waiting on a holster for my XDm to get here. I have been unable to locate the KelTec PF-9 in the finish that I want so I will have to wally walk and carry my XDm until I can find and purchase the PF-9. I guess I am waiting on my plastic and a holster

I assume you're looking for a black one? I haven't seen any online for a bit, but several vendors had them at the gun show in Houston over the weekend.

Yes, looking for a black grip with either hard chrome or parkerized slide. I guess I might have to road trip it to the nearest gun show.

I'm not sure if any of them were parkerized, I think most (if not all) were blued. Hope you can find the one you're looking for.

Holy crap I really hope you've called that is way over two weeks!
Hate to burst your bubble but you're probably getting it on the 22nd. It took 5 days mailing days for me to get mine. Mine was postmarked for 2 days after it said mailed. Thinking back about it I feel stupid checking the mail the day it was postmarked.

I am right on the cusp so to speak of an August/September application. I mailed on 8/31 and the post office shows my app as delivered on 9/2. My first update was 9/09 so I really can't complain too much..... My problem is I am watching the September 2011 Application room and seeing people who saw their first updates later than mine passing me in the process. How much can I push this with DPS? They are telling me to sit tight and call back in a few weeks but it is pretty frustrating. Any thoughts?
