That was in Q4 of 2007 before things got backlogged but my non-resident status didn't seem to create any undue delays. It may even have helped, as I had a concealed carry permit from my local Sheriff and I assume TX DPS contacted his office during the background check (considering local LEO address/phone were required by TX DPS for non-resident applicants.){TEX}Hawaii 99 wrote:I am at 6 days and counting....This will be interesting to see if there will be a delay due to my mailing address being in GA. Has anyone had their CHL mailed out of state? Any insight if this will create a delay?
YEA! Plastic in hand,firehiker wrote:fingers crossed! =)
one thing that has me concerned...the "JR" was left off my name on the pin # letter, and so was my apt. number. I'm not sure if this was "clerical" shorthand, or if my plastic is going to arrive that way; I don't want this to be a reason I get kicked back...but if I get my plastic that way I am just going to leave it that way. This is only troubling because my father and I took the class together and mailed our stuff in at the same time...it bothers him more than me when people leave the Jr. off my name!
