This forum really helped me wait out the processing time. Thanks for posting your info everyone. Here's mine:
8/9 Application
8/10 Fingerprints
8/11 Class
8/11 Uploaded all paperwork (in the evening)
8/19 Website shows all documents received, Background Check under review (never received confirmation email, spam filter maybe?)
9/27 Background check complete, print pending
9/29 Website shows mailed
9/30 License in hand

So it took me 50 days once everything was submitted. I've lived in the same address and same job for over 5 years. I live in Williamson County, clean record, no arrests, a couple traffic tickets only. My job requires me to be federally background checked every few years.

Applied September 11 the same day as class
Fingerprints and documents sent in on the 13th
Finally got an email confirmation on September 28tb
Still no change to the website. It still says to allow sufficient time for processing. I've seen other people say the online status is slow or does not change until after its already mailed, so I guess I'm not the only one. Guess I will wait impatiently...

The website still shows nothing for my application status. Here's the timeline so far:

Application and payment: 8/26
LTC Class: 8/28
Fingerprints: 9/2
Document Upload: 9/2
Confirmation Email: 9/3

I understand from others here that sometimes no status will appear until after the license has shipped. Based on other timelines, I should be receiving mine in the next couple of weeks.

Hey guys stumbled upon this forum and decided to post my own timeline.

9/10 - Took my class
9/17 - completed the application
9/20 - Fingerprinted
9/21 - email saying all docs received
9/26ish - online status posted with everything green except for BG check.

As of today, no change. Am 23 year old college student with no criminal record so hoping background check processes quickly. Want to get my card.

My wife and I filled out state application and did finger printing prior to taking the LTC course on 9/17. After completing the course and submitting certificates online the same day, we both received confirmation emails on 9/21 stating all required documentation had been received. Well, she received her license Monday 10/3 and other than a public intoxication when I was 18 (I'm 36 now) I have no criminal history. My BG check status is still under review. All else is green excluding BG and print pending.
I just find it odd that we submitted and did everything at the same time, yet mine is still under review. Is she just lucky to have gotten her plastic 16 days after completion of class and my situation is more typical? Or should I be concerned?

I took the class and submitted the CHL-100 form with my 2 friends on the same day. My plastic came in 1 month before theirs did. I suspect that having a common name can have some impact on delays as mine is a very uncommon last name and my friends have more common ones. There are any other number of factors that can cause a delay, even though there is nothing wrong in your background. Take advantage of the time to shop around for holsters and practice carrying around the house.

Thanks for the feedback. Got my holster and exercise the Castle Law as for my home and vehicle. Just anxious to be bonifide I reckon.

Anyone know how often DPS updates the progress of certification process? Since last night at approx 7pm I've checked the status at least 5 times lol.

From other posters on here, it seems the DPS has sped up the process of mailing out LTC, but are still lax on updating web site status. Some have gotten their plastic before their status changes. Don't put so much stock in the status on-line, they seem to be averaging a six week turnaround on plastic in hand.

It took me over two weeks to even get the email saying they received my documents. Been over 3 weeks and still zero updates online. Not even that the documents have been received. I think I might be one of the people who receives the plastic before seeing any change online. Time to stalk the mailman soon.
