My email said 1 week, but I've been lied to before by email. Stupid email.

I contacted Ruger via phone regarding my LCP for the first time this morning. Based upon the timing the gal stated, I should get the shipping box in 3 to 4 weeks - and should expect the gun to be out of my hands for 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. Time will tell ...

Well the box was picked up here in H-town at 1:15pm and I have UPS confirmation that Rugar signed for it at 10:08 am today. So I reasonably expect my LCP to return on 12-15 or some time that week. YAY for me ! I will keep the forum updated on its progress.

Ok...I put in all of my information about a month ago and I have not received my package to send to them. I figured that maybe I made a mistake so I tried re-entering the information on their website and this is what I got on a message:
ATTENTION!
The serial number you entered has already been processed.
That's all good and all... however, I have yet to get anything. How long does it take to get something from them for me to ship? Should I call them tomorrow?...

It took a little over a month before I received the box to ship back to Ruger. In fact, I only received it yesterday and it sits all packed up ready to go...now I am waiting for UPS to pick it up. I hope that will be tomorrow because with the holidays coming up I am afraid it will take longer to get it back. I talked to a Ruger representative yesterday and she said it would take 7 working days to do the refurbishing work on it and then will be returned with overnight shipping.

I did mine online on 11/07/2008, and I have not heard anything from Ruger yet. And on top of the regular recall, my triger is broken, so I havent been able to use it at all...

When you pull the trigger does the side of the reciever kind of bulge out a little? If you pinch the reciever btween your index finger and thumb and squeeze in on it while you pull the trigger, does it then fire?

Yea!!
UPS truck just drove off with my LCP, headed for Ruger. Thursday December 11, 2:30 PM. Will it make it back before Christmas? ...nah, I don't think I will hold my breath. But, I am just glad to get it sent off and in the works.

No, Kel-Tec has their own internal bugs that have, now, been worked-out. When an object is blatantly copied from an original, the copy will usually be an imperfect one; engendering a completely different panorama of problems. The Kel-Tec P-3AT's design flaw hinged on three notorious bugs: (1)the magazine catch, (2) the extractor spring (3) the hole in front of the slide for the recoil spring guide rod.
Don't forget that design flaw that at least half of the P3-ATs are STILL unreliable. I know several people with these, and quality problems are still there. You either have a good one or a crappy one; no in-between. I still have mine, and plan to use it as an unreliable backup while the ruger is in the shop...
