DPS said it was mailed on Tuesday 12/30 and it arrived today Wednesday 1/7. A full week for mailing when you exclude the New Years holiday! To recap, here is my timeline:
12/6 CHL Class
12/7 On-line Application
12/7 Uploaded CHL-100/other docs
12/8 Confirmation email
12/12 FAST Fingerprints (out of town for business caused delays in getting prints)
12/30 DPS stated license was mailed
12/31 Status change on DPS website
1/7 Plastic arrived
Not bad in my opinion since I am sure they had to do some extra checks
due to my "history"
even though I submitted all supporting documentation along with my CHL-100. Time from all paperwork submitted (12/12 was when print were submitted which was the last item) to the status change was 19 days and time to plastic in hand was 26 days.
Here's to those still waiting, may your plastic arrive soon!

My final paperwork (chl-100) was submitted 12-7 confirmation letter on 12-8, still waiting. Called yesterday, they said it was in work about 50% complete, said it could take another 30 days, still no status change.
Guess it's just not my week.

Dennisz, my timeline is almost identical to yours. I called, today, and was quite surprised at the report. Hopefully, we both weren't delayed by 'fat-fingers' in the data entry department. (see my updated post for the full report)

UPDATED Timeline
12/3 applied online
12/5 fingerprints
12/6 class
12/6 submitted CHL-100 online
12/8 confirmation of documents received
12/15 called DPS to verify they had everything and was told they got it last week and started processing, should have it within 60 days
1/3 Website Status Change
1/8 Plastic arrived.
Plastic arrived today!!! WOO HOO!!!

Hey guys newbie here!
11/25/14-CHL Class
12/4/14-CHL Application submitted online
12/4/14-CHL-100 upload online
12/4/14-Email confirmation all docs received
12/8/14-Fingerprints
12/30/14-Contact DPS,CHL-100 wasn't received was informed
to email my situation and the form again to a manager.
1/2/15-Contact DPS to verify,still no CHL-100. Emailed manager again to
be told my 100 was not attached on the email a few days ago,after I was told it would be moved along for processing, so I resent the same email
as before. Got confirmation that the 100 was attached this time via email from the manager
1/8/15-Contact DPS all docs received.
FRUSTRATION!

Quick question: Does anyone know if I have to do fingerprints AGAIN? Look at my timeline below:
12/13/13 - Applied for CHL application
03/01/13 - Fingerprints done
12/14/14 - CHL Application expired
12/27/14 - took CHL class and received -100
01/07/15 - applied for CHL application again
01/07/15 - submitted all documents required documents online
01/07/15 - confirmation of documents received

For most of us yes, however there have been a few who have reported that the status never changed and they got their plastic.

Here is my timeline
12/20/14 - took CHL class
12/20/14 - submit application & uploaded CHL-100
12/22/14 - fingerprints done
01/02/15 - called DPS to verify they had all paperwork
01/09/15 - called to check on status, lady said they are working on it that by law they had 40 more days to get me the license
01/12/15 - waiting, still no change online status
