Plastic Finally arrived yesterday! Goooooodness...thought itd never come! Picked up a new to me West German Sig P220 .45...actually conceals better than my CZ 75! Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to eliminate the nasty rubbing and scarring that some leather holsters seem to do?

I use a horsehide from CrossBreed that seems to minimize it. However! I have settled on a philosophy of benign neglect. If you are going to carry your EDC every day, then it is going to show wear no matter what you do. As far as I am concerned, it is the sign of a loved and trusted gun. It is not a showcase gun. You could wipe it down every day, and poke in the cracks and crevasses, but it is going to get older, quicker, than the guns sitting in your safe.

Another couple of weeks but I am still a happy camper. I just purchased a firearm yesterday, do you think that had anything to do with it getting updated today?

Thanks GL! Did you see the holster I made for the XD9. I am getting alot better with it. No FTF or FTE at all with that gun. I can't wait to carry it this fall and winter.

Ok, here is my update! nothing has changed. Background check under review! My frustration has turned into acceptance that I am on the 60 day train. Come back and say hello once in a while, I'll be here Week days and evenings till November!

Plastic!!!! Finally!!!! Headingto the range now. It is so much better to have the gun on me instead of in the range bag.

Ok. So today I went to the range, and Walmart. No pics yet because the girlfriend wasnt with me. Will take some pics of the wally walk soon. It is definitely a new experience carrying in a place where you have been 1000 times before without a handgun. It felt like I had a rocket launcher on my waist and everyone was staring at me. I noticed quickly that no one had interest in me at all. I hope everyone gets their plastic soon.

On a side note, now that I have my license, I am no longer frustrated with how long it took to get to me.

Good for you guys! Yes, it is amazing how the long wait becomes ok once the plastic is in hand and the gun is in holster.
