Yes, I am very thankful we came out of the past of 6 and 7 months but seeing everyone else opening their Christmas present first doesn't make the waiting any easier. I'll just remember to send in my next renewal all the earlier so it doesn"t lapse. Thanks for understanding.

In my opinion we shouldn't be charged a fee and put into a database to exercise our 2nd amendment right. But yes it's good that things are faster.

2/5/18 - submitted app
2/6/18 - fingerprinted
2/11/18 - took class and submitted ltc-100
2/12/18 - received email from DPS
2/15/18 - showing green prints and background under review
3/17/18 - showing uner review, print pending
3/21/18 - all green, print pending
3/22/18 - mailed
3/24/18 - ltc in hand!

All documents and requirements submitted as of yesterday, 03/31/2018. Now I wait.

EDIT: On 4/6/18 My status on the DPS website updated to all check marks save the background check and print pending.... Getting close!

Today is the first day the status page finally stopped showing the "please allow sufficient time" message

03/24/18: LTC course complete
03/25/18: Application submitted
03/26/18: *DPS updated website saying application received* early in the morning.
03/26/18: LTC100 & DL copies uploaded
03/26/18: DPS email stating they have received supporting documents.
03/27/18: DPS website no longer says *application received* or gives any application status for that matter.
04/02/18: Fingerprints sent and still no application status update.

hopefully they update it soon... I'd like to see the progress.

I don't have an exact timeline but mine came up as being mailed this morning, checked the mail at lunch (mail dude usually delivers from 11am to 1pm) and didn't get it today. Maybe it'll be there tomorrow.
