I've seen others who completed the class and app submission the same weekend as I did and they've already cleared background review and some even rec'd ltc in the mail... I realize there is a 60day window, but this wait is a killer...
I work FOR the State of Texas, my background check should be a breeze....

UPDATE 2.0!!!!
5/16/18 - After TWO (2) emails to the people at RSD and waiting 7.5weeks of the allotted 8week time frame (8 weeks being the time frame given to me in a reply email from RSD, not 60 working days but 8 work weeks...) my Background check is finally COMPLETED ....My print is now pending ....another waiting period ensues...

Yeah but this wait should be bearable considering it's the final one. Congratulations!

I received my email saying that all docs were received on 3/2 and I'm still bg pending so I know how you feel..I emailed them on 3/22 and they responded on 3/24 saying it can take up to 8 business weeks from the day all docs are received

Ya man I received the email 3/12 and my background is still pending I called 2 weeks ago and the representative said that he talked to the background people that process our bg and he said it would have been done last week. It’s been 2 weeks and nothing. So I don’t know what’s going on. Also I’m 21 and have nothing on my record and lived in Texas my whole life!!! Just wanted to rant

I'm in the same boat, turned 21 in October, submitted all of my documentation 4/14, got an email saying it's been received on 4/16 and now nothing. I'm wondering how long it takes for it to be updated on the website.

Apparently the person who does BG checks came to work today because I went to print pending today also

Just remembered to check the website, and Whoa! It's been mailed! Haven't checked the mailbox for a couple days, so better do that on the way home. Yay!
