Called DPS yesterday and spoke with Simone. Second set of prints; taken at a FAST location, were rejected again by the FBI.
Does anyone know the reason DPS is not using electronic fingerprint submission? According to the contract with FAST, that was one of the
reasons for using their service.

Man that is total bull! I played it safe with my finger print's and had a new set taken at the HPD.

I just called FAST to set appointment for third set of prints. The lady said after you have bee rejected twice you are not required to have to
do it again.
Looked it up on the FBI website and she is right.

Talked to the same woman at DPS and she said they are still just waiting on the FBI. So is no news truly good news? Not sure when it comes to the state. Big ups for having found that nugget of information though.... seems like it should be in a sticky in the appropriate section of the site. Sorry to hear about the rejection though...at least I can empathize with the frustration that ensues after such news.

My wife just received her plastic. We were pleasantly surprised, we did not our expect licenses until around Halloween. Hopefully I am only a couple of weeks away.

At 63, I hope I get my plastic before I forget what I am applying for!

Day 74 and still on hold.

Just for the heck of it, I sent an e-mail late last night to see if I could get a better status than 'processing application'. I got a very quick reply this morning but it was just a useless 'Processing means we are processing it'.

Too bad about that response. Guess I won't bother emailing.

ON Tuesday of this week I was told that my second set of finger prints were rejected by the FBI.
Today, I called to find out why I have not received new cards and rejection notice/.
I am told that my prints were not rejected but they had looked at the wrong info..
THE PEOPLE AT DPS/CHLS HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

After a 1,000.00 investment into this program, I am really getting irritated.

Well after two emails in two weeks with no reply checking status. I called DPs today and was told Waiting on BG checks everything looks good so far. An guess what about 10 min. later got reply from email stating same thing. Oh well guess more waiting

12 th week-77 th day still waiting.

Day 78 here. I believe it shouldnt be too far out now.

There hasn't been much activity in the July thread for awhile now.

Day 79 and still no word. Might have to make a couple of calls again.

Day 61 after about two weeks and call to DPS I received reply to two emails one stated everything normal one waiting completion of BG checks. One atated fingerprints accepted waiting on BG checks Hopefully that means not much longer
