Quite frankly, it is worrying me also. I would love to see these bad seeds get some serious payback. It might help to dissuade other bad seeds from pulling the same stunt. Not knowing the jurisdiction is a tough one also. I would love to believe this happened in some podunk jurisdiction. Somehow it would be comforting knowing this is a "one off" event and not a sign of irrational behavior to come.

I would be willing to bet the incident happened in one of those cities. my first guess would be austin, my second would be Houston. I fail to see something like this happening in a smaller town.

No offense meant Mr. Ole Gringo.... it's just that plumbing and electricity being fairly new to podunkville, I thought maybe word had not gotten to Barney Fife about CHL's yet. You folks have phones out there?

Yes we do. They's shiny black and they have this wheel on 'em with numbers in it. Evertime we see a suspicious person, we use 'em to call Andy. He's our sheriff and a cousin of either me or somebody. We don't see many suspicious folk that we're not related to...you know what I mean? They's a bunch of new school teachers we're kinda' watchin'. They's talkin' about apes and things and a lot of other thangs that ain't in the Bible and they have a whole mouth full of teeth. Kinda' sceery when you see 'em.

I just split a gut laughing.... You know that is how the average city slickers picture it in the sticks... LOL. My birthday was a couple weeks ago and my daughter bought me the old movie, Deliverance, on blue ray. I just can't for the life of me figure out why your post made me think of this.

I don't know how it actually works off of the moving picture box / silver screen, but I would think that should you be arrested, your first (only?) call should be to someone who knows who all else to call, and what to arrange. I'm thinking that adding a "just in case" lawyer's numbers to "emergency info packet" (with who all to call, living wills, medical power of attorney, etc) and distributed to more than one family member would be wise. Not that I'm senile, it's just less numbers to memorize. What were we talking about again?

I took a ride once. All my things were confiscated and I was allowed to make several phone calls from whatever numbers I could remember after I was processed in. No doubt all recorded.

Wow, this has got to be addressed.

I carry a fat Glock in a Bullard Undercover (most often) and a DPS was surprised when I told him where it was (a traffic stop) and he was looking right at it. I smell a rat.

Note to self: Stuff Glock in a Wilderness Safepacker, attach clear tubing containing yellow food color, sew lable on Safepacker "Urine Bag" with Medical symbol on it

Not that what they did was right by any means, but I can see how a cop could spot a Glock 36 in the Bianchi Pro 100 holster under an "unloose" t-shirt. They have a tendency know how and where to look for such. As do a lot of other people after taking a good CHL class.

I bought a Glock 36 when they were first introduced and promoted as "thin". For me, it was still a Glock - pretty bulky. I also have a Bianchi Pro 100 holster, but for the 9mm Kahrs, which are appreciably smaller than any Glock. From the factory, the placement of the clip on that holster was just not right for me. It took two trips to the leather shop to get the depth and cant correct for that holster to fit in "the sweet spot". For me, anyway. Yet, with a 34" waist, I still have to watch what kind of shirt. Typically, it's what The Wife sometimes refers to as the "a la slobovia" look - shirts often one size too big. To hopefully avoid such a nightmare.
