My time at Ft. Ord ended in 1978. At that time, the young-uns went to Tia Maria's and the Spaghetti Warehouse on Cannery Row. I was an old fart already, married with 2 kids, so my social life was more mundane

I have wondered if those places survived into the late '80's or '90s, or like most places, disappeared only to be replaced by something just like it, with a different name.

Spaghetti Warehouse was still there in 92.. no idea after that

Not sure what my favorite was. I loved it all. Being a jumpmaster at Ft. Bragg, commanding the Audie Murphy Company in 3rd ID, three year-long(ish) deployments to Iraq as an Infantryman, I even loved my 100 days in Ranger School.
