Attempted car jacking at gas station in broad daylight, woman in brand new Corvette drove off and they shot at her.

Is that one of those pistol caliber ARs? Corvette C7.

And tonight is national Get Drunk and Shoot into the Air day. I live in an unincorporated area of the county, and I've had friends jibe me about my unhappiness of frequent-fireworks days; they jokingly say it's PTSD. Nope; not that. But when you've been around both fireworks and gunfire a long time, it's not too difficult to tell the difference when someone decides to walk out in the backyard and unload a handgun cylinder or magazine into the night sky. That's what makes me nervous, and it happens every 4th of July and every New Years...often at Christmas, too, for whatever odd reason.

It is unbelievable just how stupid people can be. I live in Plano, which is a darn sight far from being rural. We even have a few idiots that do this in Plano each year. If I happen to catch one of them doing this my response will be far from civilized!

9 year old little girl shot in the head while riding with her family during road rage incident on Southwest Freeway involving street racers.
It ended up being a man was robbed at an ATM. So he shot at a pick up truck he thought contained the robbers. He was wrong he shot at a family in a different pick up truck killing a 9 year old little girl.

A grand jury refused to indict him for murder.

Hopefully the DA will refile with another charge like maybe manslaughter.

Clerical error leads to release of Harris County man charged with 19-year-old's murder
https://abc13.com/alleged-murderer-dari ... /12073087/
A man charged with murder was released from the Harris County Jail on just a $15,000 bond after a big mistake.

Darius Sims, 27, is accused of shooting and killing 19-year-old Daniel Thompson during a fight at a Whataburger parking lot back in January. A judge set his bond at $150,000, but he got out after putting up only a fraction of that.

The court clerk handling Sims' documents filled a form out incorrectly, according to the 177th District Court. One missing zero allowed him to come up with just $1,500 to bail out instead of $15,000, which is what it was supposed to be.
What a great combination! Wokeism, soft-on-crime DAs and judges, and clerical incompetence. :banghead:
