I have wondered the same thing. There's no snub like being ignored.
Just so nobody will think one of the Moderators locked the thread and deleted registrations, if it happens, I will have done it. To the new members who came here to inflate their own egos and ignore the forum rules, you'll be gone if it happens one more time. I am stunned by the dramatic change for the worse that I've seen in the Board since this "story" started.
This whole issue has become a problem; I don't need you making it worse.
Chas.

HEMIzygote's
"story"
is like a scene from the film
A History of Violence...in the film, the owner of a diner/coffee shop in a small Midwest town, all-around "good guy" Tom Stall, suddenly
goes commando one day and single-handedly takes down
three armed mafia hitmen with only a half-full coffee pot at his side and
a ton o' guts!
The story kinda reminded me of that movie 4 Brothers...older woman who takes in troubled and violent young boys gunned down in robbery....
my bull meter was going on when I read the first thread...this just don't add up in any way.
Who is gonna hit with EVERY SINGLE SHOT in a situation like that? Maybe you'd hit every time with one bad guy, but you're gonna start missing when you have to start "spinning around" to get the other bad guys. sorry....bull....
I say we give this story and this thread the attention it deserves...none

These two quotes are from Hemi. The first is at the beginning of his post. The second is near the end of his first post.
Today I drew my gun and fired it 7 times ....
I am sad to say that 4 lives were lost that day...

At the risk of hijacking this thread, I want to take the time to thank Charles and all of the moderators on this board for working to keep it professional and well groomed.
It is unfortunate some members make posts that are targeted at downing others, whether that person was right or wrong. As Charles alluded to, trying to use a forum to boost your own perception or ego should not and will not be tolerated. I personally don't frequent a lot of other forums just because that happens in those. This forum has a large number of high caliber folks (no pun intended.) I appreciate the exceptional information and knowledge you can gain from those individuals and that Charles hosts this forum for us.
Thanks again and keep up the great work!
Regards,

The correct thing to do would be to answer yes and show him what you are talking about IMHO.

I don't think this is the same person. All of the other forums the HEMizygote from here shows up in have the same info in the profile. This guy may have just used or plagerized this nick.

Just an update. So far, 3 friends from RI/MA area have responded to my query. No one has heard or seen any news reports about a pharmacy robbery in Worcester with 4 dead.
It's not all that big a place. News travels fast. Tough to keep a lid on a shootout like that. It seems to me that someone should have heard something by now.

I have been talking in riddles in a couple of my last posts, but no one took the bait. So at the risk of getting booted off the forum I'll tell you all what I have found out about HEMIzygote. All of this is a matter of public record.
Think about it. HEMIzygote has stated on this forum that he is 22 years old and an "infectious disease pharmacist." It takes at least six years to become a pharmacist. To specialize is "infectious diseases" he would need a PhD which is about 8 years. Do the math. Even if he was "Doogie Hooser."
In his post about the CCW open-holster protest, he stated he was a teacher and wore it at school. He is not listed as a Texas Tech faculty member or graduate student. He did post a letter to the editor to the student newspaper. The letter did not state how he was connected with the University.
Pharmacists need to be licensed by the state. HEMIzygote does not have a Texas pharmacist license. Even if he did, he could only work in Texas. His license would not be valid in Massachusetts so "his company" could not sent him there to "fill in" at a hospital or pharmacy.
The Texas State Board of Pharmacy shows HEMIzygote is a "pharmacy technician", not a pharmacist.
HEMIzygote stated several times that he did not work for a large chain store. The Texas State Board of Pharmacy says he does.
So this is what I know. Make you own conclusions.

Add that to the present and past tense in the story and it does seem to lend itself to little credibility...

Yeah, but in his defense it could have been a typo. I still want to give Hemizygote the benefit of the doubt, but ....
Posting information to the contrary is not attacking him. I know Chas mentioned some attacks, I never saw those. They may have been nuked before I got a chance to see them of course.

Not attacking Hemi. But if you also add the FACT that there is no news of 4 dead in a drugstore/pharmacy robbery then you can probably safely assume that it is less than truthful.

STOP IT, STOP IT, STOP IT. For Christ's sake, people, just let it go. Doesn't anyone have anything better to do? Let's all meet at the range or something!
1. All you people who are "in the media", get over yourselves. We get that you have media contacts; would you like a gold star?
2. Quit making comments about how you know this is "fake" or "made up". Is is very hard to believe? You bet, but muttering on about it for days on an internet message board doesn't make any sense.
3. Stop making snide comments about the guy, his post history, etc. You don't know him, so don't talk as if you do.
4. Either one of two things is happening. HEMIzygote is either young or immature or both and sought to post something so elaborate and intense that it would fire everyone up--which it did--or, Hz is telling the truth, and he needs your supportive comments and NOTHING more. Remember when your mommy told you not to talk about people unless you had something nice to say? Now would be a good time to do that.

I think HEMIzygote is a very lovely name!
