This is my first post I've been reading around the forum and reliazed that I'm not the only one that has the patients of a 4 year old. I hate the wait everytime I check my application status I'm disappointed. I just sent them an email they told they are just wating for my background investigation. (I dont have a criminal record. WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG?)

2/19/10 Delivery confirmed
3/04/10 PIN received

It was regularly taking four months or longer, this time last year.

Well we hadn't gotten our pin #s in the mail and our checks were cashed on Friday (3/5) ... so I emailed the state. And WITHIN 2 MINUTES we had our pin #s! Now just waiting on the plastics!

Yeah I guess your right. It took a friend of mine 6 months to get his last year.

Hello, I'm just wondering how it took you guys to get your app after filling it out online. It's been about a month for me. I called a few weeks ago and they said that it should be there last Wednesday. what the heck this is driving me crazy.

Finally changed status to "Application Completed. License Issued". 38 days from mailing. Mine seems to have taken longer than most of the February apps.

Called today (and not so helpful) lady told me: "okay, it looks like we got your application on 2-18-10. Right now, we're running about 2-3 months. Since yours had something in your criminal history, it's likely to take 3-6 months to get your license as long as everything checks out."

What kind of crap is that ???

LIES! We'll see what happens, however lots of people have been taking about 4 weeks this lately. As far as your "criminal" history only you know the facts behind that.

It was a deferred adjudication from 2002. I did the community supervision (half of sentenced) then my lawyer got the case dismissed, SET ASIDE, and all evidence set aside as well.
I went to Dallas County and got a certified copy of the disposition which plainly states all of that, from the clerk's office. (that was an experience all its own) LOL

And I sent in all original paperwork with my packet... Again, the irritating this is that the tech I spoke to last week, told me that the tech had it since 3-4-10, reviewing, and as long as background checked out (and disposition) then it should be approved in 3-4 days (from last Thursday), and sent to printer.

Now fast forward to this morning and that lady told me what she did.. the wind was obviously taken from my sails... I know I'll get it.. It's just that patience is not one of my strong suits.. Just ask my friends. LOL

Man I hope not!

I sent an email earlier this month and got a reply on the 11th. It said that my application was "nearing completion", but here it is the 15th, and my online status still says "processing application". You can see my timeline below, and I'm starting to wonder if they are starting to run a little behind. I'm sitting at about 5 weeks now, and my nerves can't take this kind of torture.
I'm gonna call them up in the morning, see what they say. My hopes currently in the down position. Constantly being on the forum doesn't help me keep my mind off the situation though.
