Wasn't there a mini forum day in DFW yeterday?

My wife and I live in Stephenville, and are interested in attending a seminar in the Metroplex, or under the right circumstances, Austin, Waco, San Antonio, Houston, etc.

My concern is that I keep thinking that I'm not hearing much info on scheduling of these events, info that would help us plan our participation. I've subscibed to this thread, but is subscribibng to this thread the only way to get informed about times and places for these seminars? If there is an additional way to stay informed about scheduling of the seminars, could someone share what that is?

Yes, there was a wonderful get-together at Elm Fork, but it was for socializing and maybe trying out each other's guns. It was not an all day schedule of seminars taught by different people on different subjects like Forum Day.

Although we have not received a final October date for the
DFS to be held at UTD in Richardson, TX, Charles is considering
giving it on Friday night, 10/22/2010 at Friendswood PSC, in the
shotgun building, from about 600PM-900PM.

This is also tentative, but it is a possibility for all Houston folks
and Forum Day attendees from anywhere to catch the DFS.

Sorry to those who cannot attend Forum Day activities (we joined too late for it last year).
It fits our schedules perfectly, so count us in if it happens as part of Forum Day! :hurry:

Not a mini Forum day but there were about forty or so that got together for a morning shoot and Mexican food for lunch after. We did kick around the thought of doing it once a quarter.

I want to apologize to the forum members. I had high hopes that UTD could host the seminar, but I had to inform Charles today that it will not be possible. I tried very hard to find a willing sponsor but was rebuffed each time. I hope that by next year I will have found a willing sponsor should Charles choose to hold a similar event in the DFW area.

For those of you in the DFW area that have the ability to line up a possible location, I pray you can find one as soon as possible. This process has taken much longer than I had hoped it would, and October is now half gone. I know that many folks have been looking forward to this for quite some time now. Hopefully something can happen fairly soon.

Hey, Baldeagle, thanks for your effort. Hopefully another opportunity will open up.
I certainly want to hear Charles talk. This is so important that we learn the facts now, not as a respond to an event after something has occurred.
Again thanks.

Ditto, your efforts are much appreciated. No apologies necessary. Something will work out soon enough. Trying to get something going at North Texas in Denton, but dead ends so far. Thanks again for trying to put it together. :txflag:

Charles,

Will your presentation be a lecture requiring little or no audience interaction or will it require more interaction? If it's essentially a lecture or can be reworked to be a lecture, then why not just digitally record it, post the video on the web, and give us the link to it?

Those interested could then view it as their schedules allow. That way no one has to find a venue, and limitations on how many folks can get to that specific venue at the particular time ceases to be an issue.

My guess is this method would reach many more folks, be a lot cheaper, and be quicker to execute than the old-fashioned way.

Is it too late to sign up for the Friday PM seminar in Pearland? Our schedule may make that possible now! YEAH!

Thanks!
