It's on!
I think that's a bit premature.

I sure hope not.
Their not the only ones possibly preparing for war.

Perhaps. I think its safe to say the stage has been set for a second civil war. Lets hope this one will be fought with hearts and minds, not bullets.

What specifically do you think is premature?

Obama isn't going to do jack, nor can he. It will be Congress who will have sold us down the road, if it comes to that.

This is why we got rid of the King a long time ago, if memory serves.

The Congress has to stand up. It's their job and they wanted it! We have to keep reminding them that if they won't, we'll get someone who will.

You don't think he will issue an EO if he doesn't get what he wants from Congress? What's the downside for him or the Democrats for an EO?

A little late for that. These cowards have two years before the next election. There is only one political party in Washington. The elites.

Saying that a second civil war is "on". I'm not saying that this administration couldn't lead us there, but this is all still just speculation about what might be in a bill, the first draft of which hasn't even been filed yet.

With all due respect, the Democrats overtly attempting to subvert the Constitution without going through the proper channels of change constitutes the appropriate shot across the bow to warrant saying "it's on".

If they were attempting an honest effort at repealing the Second Amendment through the 2/3 state vote, then I would say a civil war is premature. As it is they are using brute force and authoritarian tactics leading straight into tyranny. That, my friend, is an act of war on the people of the United States.

I keep hearing this "repeal the second amendment" stuff.

The Constitution and BOR enumerate rights that pre-existed the document. These rights are God given and cannot be taken away. Even if the second amendment were repealed the right to keep and bear arms will still exist. It will just be more improtant to exercise the RKBA before it gets this far.

Friend of mine, the Compliance Coordinator for "Ohioans for Concealed Carry" has publicly posted of his conversation with Boehner's Chief of Staff. Basically, Boehner's working on the assumption that they'll need to concede something to arr e at a deal. The idea of telling the Libs to pound salt has never seemed to enter their mind.

Boehner's middle name is "Concede". Aside from the early to late 70's, I don't remember when the Republicant's have ever been weaker or more ineffectual.

I would much rather see them try to appeal the 2nd Amendment. It would never pass. They don't have enough blue States to do it and they know it. Instead, they will do what they always do - end run the Constitution and, just like Chicago, pass something that they know isn't Constitutional. The question will be as to whether SCOTUS would sell us out again or not.
