2/7-- Manufacturing pending! Boo-yah!

See my timeline in the signature. As of last night, 6 Feb. There was nothing on the DPS website. I did not send photos in but rather asked that my DL photo be used per the CHL Istructor advice. Waiting

I just called on my status (you can see the progress in the beginning of this topic) and the lady who answered was very nice sounding.... glad I got her first thing in the morning though.

I was told it has not been 60 days yet...

But everything looks good on their end.

I guess processing time just depends on a ton of factors.

Well, they finally got the my license in the mail. My timeline is listed below:

12/11/12 : Online Application Completed
12/15/12 : Fingerprints Taken
12/28/12 : CHL Class Completed
01/03/13 : Packet sent to DPS
01/25/13 : Background Check : Under Review
02/05/13 : Background Check: Completed/Manufacturing Pending
02/06/13 : Manufacturing
02/07/13 : Mailed

If you have a "previous legal situation" on your background or you indicated any arrest, dismissed or not, it automatically get's assigned to a specialized agents queue, this adds essentially 3 weeks. Not much you can do about it except wait it out. This information was provided directly from DPS staff when detailing the process to me personally. If you have nothing listed on your application and nothing get's flagged during the electronic BG check at the time the "data entry clerks" enter your application and scan your picture/signature. It moves through the process right away, my understanding is that nobody even looks at it past that.

We have the exact same timeline up until "Background Check: Completed/Manufacturing Pending". what the heck?!?!?!

Also, are these mailed from Austin? I live in Austin so wondering if I might get it in the next couple days.

Updated to "Manufacturing Pending"!!!!! SO Excited!!!!

I want to thank everyone who has supported me and been there for me. Everyone who has held my hand during this dark background review process. You all deserve the honor and praise of this magnificent gift of CHL background completion.

Update: under review. forgot to send US passport copy...born out of country think it is fine to submit online even though I am still waiting for the dps snail mail letter asking me to send missing doc?
