I'm hitting to Wally World this morning for some groceries.. and do my first Wally walk required...
Then I got to go to BPS to have installed some fishing line for my new PENN reel for my coming trip to FL...

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking around for the last few weeks while I've been waiting on my CHL to come in.
I'm proud to say I'm in the club now.

Mailed on 6/24 and was in their hands on 6/25.

Just received mine today 7/19!


25 days box to box! I'm very happy to see that considering I've seen everywhere up to a year on here. (Made me a bit nervous at first.)

Reading everyone's experiences helped along the way. So thanks for keeping me company :)

Wally Walk scheduled for tomorrow, and a Best Buy Boogie, and a Target Trot, and anywhere else I can find an excuse to go...

Anyone else send in passport photos but have their DL photo used instead?

Yes. There was a little card in the envelope for mine that said, roughly, that they'd be using the photo on file from now on.

Edit: I went and grabbed the exact language that was on the card re. that (although I'm sure you probably got the same card):
I'd presume they don't mean just me, but everyone. It looks like they used my DL signature, too, but the card didn't say anything about that.

I called DPS today and actually got a live human being on the phone after being on hold for only a couple minutes. She checked my record and said there were no notes indicating they needed additional info from me or that anything in particular was causing a delay. Told me to just remain patient. I've been in fingerprints under review/BG under review for 17 days and counting now. I guess the bureaucrat working on my application went on vacation or something...

This is my first post to this site and wanted to post my updates. I cant wait to get my CHL.

I sent mine on 6/28 and am waiting for the "boomerang" to arrive.

That is part of the reason the system has sped up. They are using your DL pic (residents only). So, you no longer need to send in passport photos.

That's my EXACT outline on how I did things. I had to check and make sure that wasn't my post.

The only thing that differs is that mine updated on 7/15.
