Security Guard Liability Insurance

Post by RoyGBiv »

I'm posting this thread on behalf of member @Bigguy who has been locked out of the forum due to a lost password and unable to reset his password for some time (apparently only Charles can do it). Hopefully the Mod's don't mind me posting on his behalf... He'll be able to read replies here and I'll try to relay his answers to questions if any are asked.

From Bigguy....
I’m with a low budget security firm in Texas. I just assumed that the company would have liability insurance to cover employees. I’ve been with them long enough to now realize they won’t spend a dime they are not required to. They probably have insurance to cover the company/owners, but I doubt they have anything to assist an officer in a work related legal problem. I’d like to hear from legal professionals as to what danger I may be in.
Thank you! :tiphat:
I am not a lawyer. This is NOT legal advice.!

US Law Shield offers a program for Security Guards https://www.lawshieldsecurity.com/.
I was looking at it due to being on church security team.
