This happened last Thursday on 4/24/25:
Boxes of ammunition found by church staff in a Chapel adjacent to St. Laurence Catholic School, reported to onsite Sugar Land PD Officer, caused immediate school dismissal and school closed on Friday for them to perform a search for any other items. Additional Sugar Land Police responded and person of interest detained.
School/Church campus cleared. OK to resume normal activities. Further security measures being reviewed.
The only official explanation given was that the boxes of ammunition were left "as an offering".
What a non-sense excuse. I think someone was planning something and either was interrupted in the staging process or had a change of heart and aborted mission, leaving the ammunition behind. There is more to the story I think but maybe not much they can prove???
