Love My Glock 20 Gen5!

Picked it up at my local FFL a few days back.
Heard from some sources that it has "heavy recoil" but at the range I found it was about the same as my Glock 30SF in .45 ACP. Very manageable.
It does have a large grip so it might not be the right choice for those with small hands.
It is my desk and night-stand gun now.
Very happy with this purchase and the handgun's performance.

Congrats on your new purchase.

Now its time for a new holster. I recommend the Tucker holsters both leather and Voltron if you havent gotten one yet. My every day carry is the SIg P320 compact. I wish you many happy gun range trips with your new Glock.

Thanks for the recommendation! Those look like nice, quality holsters.

Tim at TT Gunleather has made most of my holsters for about 15 years ever since my other custom holster maker passed away, You may want to check 'TT Gunleather out. If you do tell him I sent you. Here is my last one for my Dan Wesson DWX. I usually use the easy on and off snap holsters, but thought this one looked great.

Nice!
Both holster companies above seem to be profiling holsters for 1911 style pistols--so---looking at a Delta Elite in 10 mm and then--the cost...cough. Time to win the lottery! :)

I have two holsters from Tucker for my Springfield Emissary 9mm. One is the HF1 leather and the other is inside the waist band. All the gun talk is making want to make another trip to the range soon.

I don't own a 20 but do own a 21 and have a 10mm conversion barrel for it. It's definitely a big gun and noticeably more snappier than a 9mm but nothing punishing IMO. If you feel the grip is to big, you can get it slimmed down to Glock 17 circumference. I had mine done by a guy and also had him remove the finger groves (it is a Gen4) and it was noticeably slimmer. Then I had another stipple job done to it as I wanted something a little more grippier and it got slightly "thicker". Over all, love the big Glock in .45 and 10mm. It's my "woods" gun when I go camping where there might be some dangerous 2 and 4 legged animals.

Oh regarding holsters. I consider Glock's "work" guns and generally wear them in kydex. I have a paddle holster from Comp-Tac and a OWB holster from Raven Concealment that is no longer made.

I second Tucker Handgun Leather. I have 3 as well as 2 mag pouches. Out of a whole drawer of holsters I've bought over the years, Tucker is by far the best. Have to wait a while to receive it but well worth the wait.
