Had reason to visit the Sunflower State recently, my old home, and had the joy of carrying legally there at last! While visiting one of the two 'blue' counties there, (Douglas (Lawrence)) I was amazed that I did not see a single No Berettas sign (aka Ghostbusters No Guns sticker) whilst wandering around downtown! I am still shocked...

I also got to visit my old home state while legally armed. Only in Wichita, I was amazed at the number of places that had the compiant no barettas sign. It is almost as if Sarah Brady went door to door with free signs and scare tactics.

I too was born in Salina Ks. and go home from time to time, the one thing i like more than anything is the security of being able to carry while traveling through the states, now if Nebrasks would wake up and smell the gunpowder it would be great...my daughter lives there. As far as stores that display no guns on premises i say you won't be getting my business,I still have the right to spend where i choose and I feel that businesses that post no carry signs are only disarming legal people and telling BG's you have free reign nobody here is carrying.

Hey Vic303

I remember you saying you guys were from Lawrence, Ks. I have not been back to Holton ( North of Topeka) in years but I am looking forward to going back next year so I can carry all the way through from Texas --> Kansas.

I spent the weekend in the 'middle of nowhere' Southwest Kansas pheasant hunting.

Great hunt. Great people.

We drove through the town and I saw all of those white signs with the Beretta's crossed out with a big red circle.

I though that they did not like foreign made pistols.;-)

The signs are on a lot of doors. The stick out like sore thumbs.
