Wally walk and a few other walks

Well since getting my license last week I made the walk on Sunday. The weather was nice and cool so I slipped the long sleeve untucked pull over on and headed on out. First thing is that i've been carrying or practicing around the house at the 4 o'clock position and it felt a little uncomforatable. So when i went out into the public i slapped it on the 3 o'clock and it felt fine walking aorund but a little adjusting when sitting in the car. First stop was autozone looking for some stuff but it was early and there was only 3 customers and two employees. Didn't find what i needed so i continued to the next stop. Went into harbor freight and walked around shopping and only really thought i noticed one lady staring at me at several different times. Then onto the next place which was academy. I was not sure about the 30.06 rule so i looked closely before entering and did not see the sign so continued as i did. Found my stuff and one time squatted to look at another item. Adjusted as i stood back up. Went by the gun area and that was uncomfortable looking and carrying. Wen to tcheck out no problem. Then the wally walk which went uneventful but i did get a little ansy(spelling) standing in line and then started getting hot. I di d not stop for the nachos because it was smaller so i will make another trip to the larger superwal mart and do it again.
Findings: As much as i tightened my belt to secure the C-tac it still felt like my pants were loose. I did adjust a few times but only around the belt area making it look like i was adjusting my pants. Sitting in the car was a little uncomfortable because my XD 40 would hit my ribs when i sat down. I do wonder how I would be able to draw my gun if i was sitting in the car because i felt like i was sitting with the grip behind my back a little. All in all i felt pretty comfortable as a first walk could be.
