Open carry of an alligator?

Two articles, one from Houston and the other from UK. The latter has pictures; the former has better comments (my favorite was the wag who looked at the mugshot and said, "He had hair clippers?").

Like this one???? Me and my buddy found this one in the Jean Lafitte swamp this time last year. We estimated him to be about a year old. Still eating bugs and stuff at that age. Lots and lots and lots of gators down here.

So Greg, you are stating that in that picture, you were carrying the 'sub-compact' model?
I guess those have their own custom alligator skin holster built right on.
