I don't expect the government to be perfect, but this sure looks like an avoidable error.

Follow-up: I don't have expertise in computers so I guess this could be mine or the NWS computer equipment causing this rather than the people who created the website. It is supposed to give you a choice between Palestine in Anderson County and Palestine in Hopkins County. I closed the window and tried again and it displayed properly.

There are two Palestines. One is an organized town in Anderson County. The other is an area in Hopkins County:

I believe that is the reason. The NWS subdivides most of their information by county, so the database shows the two locations do to the county being the higher level entity.

I need to practice communicating clearly.
What I found queer was that the site displayed two links with the same tag id. Normally, when I check for Palestine, TX, I am presented with the two links tagged with the county they are located in following the words "Palestine TX."
I just did the search again two or three times and the counties are not shown after each choice making the choice appear as:
Palestine, TX
Palestine, TX
instead of:
Palestine, TX (Anderson County)
Palestine, TX (Hopkins County)

I saw the counties. This looks like a software bug.
The two places are close enough to have the same weather, anyway.

Thanks,
My daughter and her family are driving from Hot Springs, AR back to Austin today and I just wanted to check what kind of weather they would have coming back.
