Today is a new waiting game!

I received a call yesterday from the person handling my application and was informed my license was in the mail! Checked this morning just for grins and what do you know, "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"...
Class was March 15
Application received on the 18th
Pin received about 10 days later, don't remember the actual date
License active on the 20th of May
Don't fail me now postman!!!

I wouldn't say unprovoked, we had previous conversations about the application. In my opinion they are very nice folks down there.

Thats good to know, my plan was to wait until 90 days to call but your experience may change my plan.

I have a theory on this. They love to spout off about "average" processing times. So every now and again they bust one or two out in under 60 days to bring the average days back back down. Looks like Gus drew the lucky straw.

You inspired me to ask for a Pin again.... They sent the usual canned email. Blah, Blah, Blah...not entered in system. I am about to start adding them to my three times a day call list.

It does if you consider how Gub-Ba-Ment workers think. They have to punch out one or two easy ones right quick to bring the number they are judged by in line(the average time).

My wife just called to tell me that she has the mail and my license was among the letters. Says she will let me open it for grins! For the rest of my fellow Texans in here I hope your wait is a short one.
I also pray to God that the only thing I ever have to pull out is my license but at least I now have the option to protect my wife and 2 boys...
