New Processing Procedures in Place????

Hey ya'all, this is amazing:
My wife submitted her application on 8/8/08.....and it went "Processing" on 8/14/08!!!!! Just like me, she did her paperwork at class, then applied online, and mailed packet to DPS upon couple day receipt of auto-fill application from DPS. We both received our PINs on the cover letter accompanying the auto-fill application.
DPS recently hired 50 new processors, and I'm wondering if this reflects new procedures being implemented, or just a fluke. Anyone else have this experience? I submitted my application 5/19/08, went Processing on 7/25/08, and still waiting like most of us on this forum.
I'm not saying they followed my suggestion by any means, but some time back I suggested DPS immediately open packets, and immediately submit prints and request backgrounds, then electronically follow receipt of those items. Maybe the new processors are following a similar procedure. If so, going forward, this could indeed get the system back to a more normalized, roughly 60 day processing.
New members, let us know if you experience something similar.
