Just got through shooting at the Bullet Trap in Plano and went to Jason's Deli on Hwy 75 (by Collin Creek Mall) for lunch.
Came out to find the door on my boss' F350 open and backpack (with the .22, two sets of ear and eye protection and 325 rounds) gone. Not sure if anything else was missing.
Should of kept it with me as I had a bad gut feeling leaving it in there. Live and learn
Also, a car was stolen as well as a set of license plates.
Serial number L198283

ouch. I hate to see anyone loose something to a thief. Hope they catch them & you get your gun back. It happens occasionally.

What time did this occur?? I was there for lunch yesterday around 11:30 and there was a car that had its rear window smashed out and the police were taking a report. It had been parked over on the main isle between the Kinko's and Genghis Grill.
Man, these people are getting really brazen!!

. He's only had the truck for 5 days and I've only had the gun for a couple of months (actually it was the wife's gun

).

We got there a little after 2 and got back to the truck at 3.
They did get a few of my boss's credit cards and by 3:08 had already racked up around $4k worth of gas and something call Bargain Depot in Dallas.
We also had another friend get his window smashed in the same time frame in North Dallas. The thieves must of been either waiting for the heavy rain or the heavy rain kept them from doing their day job.

A lot of times thieves will sit outside a restaurant and wait for somebody to park where they cannot see their vehicle from inside, then they know they got at least 30 minutes to break in and get gone,in the future park where you can observe your vehicle from the seating area,I got a friend that taught me this even tho were both handicapped he parks where he can see it ,besides when he leaves the gun range he's transporting at least 3 full autos

A former law partner of mine went shooting at lunch, the went to have lunch. His Suburban was burglarized and they got our gun bags with all of our gear and 4 pistols total. Mine was a Colt Commander customized by Pachmayr himself, and I can't recall what Steve lost. I'm convinced the BGs followed us from the range to the restaurant, so we never did that again.
Sorry for your loss. Be sure to report it and maybe it'll turn up.
Chas.
