It's not a gun case, but it's good news for constitutionalists. A federal judge in California has ruled that Santa Cruz can proceed with their lawsuit against the Department of Justice for violating the 10th Amendment and subverting the state's medical marijuana laws.

It will be interesting to see the final outcome.

We can pray, but I wouldn't hold our breaths.

I personally am a big proponent of the legalization of Marijuana. I personally feel that it is no worse than alcohol, speaking from first hand experience as a child of an alcoholic father.

I don't want to hijack this thread in to a pro/anti legalization, but I do hope that this gains some traction.

I think this could be an important case. It has been a long time since there have been any federal cases dealing with the Tenth Amendment. And this one could put the over-abused (IMO) commerce clause on trial against states rights. That would be a landmark case if it goes to SCOTUS, whatever the ruling turns out to be.
