Hurricane Forecast? Write your state senator if you have not already done so!

I wrote my state rep, senator and the governor's office and guess what shows up in the mail two weeks later? A week or so after that, I get a letter from DPS saying they were contacted but that their records showed that my licence had already been issued and if I hadn't recceived it yet blah blah blah.

I had not thought of this.

If you need a background check in Galveston County, you can forget about it for the foreseeable future. The county government is functioning on an emergency basis. Some records are inaccessible and some systems are down.

I don't know about Chambers County, but they may be no better off.

This would be a good time to get a non-resident license from another state.

On the bright side, maybe they will take all of the applications from the gulf coast and set them aside, and then concentrate on us north Texans!

I contacted my rep, senator, and the governor's office about both of ours once it hit the 80 mark. I got several calls from DPS concerning mine after that, but she had her application returned after 125 days because she forgot to list a redundant county. :mad5 I'm just furious that it took them that long to even get to hers. I already had my plastic in hand for several weeks before they even picked hers up.
