What year did Texas CHL start?
I tried the forums search and Google and couldn't find an answer.

I believe the initial CHL statutes were passed in 1995.
(Search engines often don't trigger on three-characters words or acronyms -- that may be why you didn't get a hit.)

Yes. The law was passed in 95. I believe you are right about issue. Charles. help, Help, HELP.

SB60 passed on 5/16/95, signed by Gov. Bush on 5/26/95, effective date 9/1/95, but no CHL issued before 1/1/96 was effective until 1/1/96. (I have no idea why we had that provision.)
