Yep, that's me too. I liked what I heard from someone else here once: "If I'm wearing pants, that means I'm carrying."Sangiovese wrote:I put in on when I get dressed in the morning and take it off when I crawl into bed at night.
I did a site search for other discussions concerning vehicle safes before I posted. I looked for a single handgun safe that would fit under the seat of a sedan. I settled for a lock-box type on a cable.Sangiovese wrote:I put in on when I get dressed in the morning and take it off when I crawl into bed at night. It sleeps in a safe on my nightstand next to me :)
On the rare occasions where I go somewhere where carrying is prohibited, I disarm when I'm getting out of the car and put it in the safe under my seat. It goes back on my hip before I drive away.
...and where is it parked, what make, model, and color is it? Can you send me a tracing of the door key?ninemm wrote:
Sangiovese, when you say "in the safe under my seat...", what sort of safe do you have and (to others) what else is available?
Actually, "safe" is probably not accurate. What I have is more of a lock box on a cable like you mention. I use one from http://www.center-of-mass.com/ and really like it. It's not going to withstand a determined attack... but it looks like it will defeat a pair of diagonal cutters and a screwdriver - so the typical smash and grab guy won't be walking away with my XD.ninemm wrote: I did a site search for other discussions concerning vehicle safes before I posted. Whenever I am awake and not at a prohibited location. Which unfortunately means about 50% of my time since I work at a prohibited location. :(
Cabela's has an underseat lock box on a cable for $30. Check it out.tfrazier wrote:...and where is it parked, what make, model, and color is it? Can you send me a tracing of the door key?ninemm wrote:
