PELOSI: 'WE WANT REGISTRATION;" Holder won't stand in the way.

BELLEVUE, WA Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on April 7 acknowledged that gun registration is on her agenda, days after Attorney General Eric Holder told reporters in Mexico that the Second Amendment would not stand in the way of administration plans to crack down on alleged gun trafficking to Mexico.

Pelosi's revelation came during an interview on ABCs Good Morning America. While insisting that Congress never denied the gun rights of American Citizens, Pelosi told Roberts, "We want them registered. We don't want them crossing state lines."

In Mexico, according to the Wall Street Journal, Holder was asked if the administration might encounter constitutional issues as it tries to crack down on alleged gun trafficking. His response: "I don't think our Second Amendment will stand in the way of efforts we have begun and will expand upon."

It's not about guns.

I wondered about that myself. I googled "Holder, Mexico" and apparently he and Napolitano made a trip down there too:

The only reason for registration is for confiscation at a time to be determined...

The only thing that makes me more nauseus then Pelosi, Schummer, Reid, Dodd, Franks and company are the people who fell for their "save the world" {waste} and keep electing them.

Yes, the link in post above does indicate that Holder was recently in Mexico too - if I want to believe any part of what I read from The Christina Science Monitor. I note too they (wrongly) empahsized the 90% thing ...

And I found this (mis?)quote odd: ""Janet Napolitano is promising to close the border to prevent the introduction of arms into the US. It's not an overall solution, but it's a partial one, and very positive for Mexico," says Eduardo Valle, a Mexican newspaper columnist and former drug official in the Mexican attorney general's office. "

Is the intent then, to stop not just the flow of drugs into this country, but also the thousands of machine guns and grenades that came in through Mexico's other borders? ???

Not a word about stopping Mexican gang members and drug cartel "soldiers" from crossing the border and killing Americans.

I already feel registered enough w/ the paper work i have to fill out each time I get a gun... not to mention shipping my prints off to the FBI & state DPS for CHL.

I tried to call her number to leave a message but a recording advised that her mailbox is full. I rather suspect that it is as her phone number has been listed on the Internet on several Pro-Freedom sites in conjunction with her call for “gun registration.”

I will again tomorrow.

I encourage all of us to do so and to get like-minded people to do the same.

Be courteous but to the point and be firm. Let her know that we will make our displeasure felt at the voting booth for sure to those of her party who supported gun control and that it would probably wind up hurting “conservative” democrats, too.

I sent an email via her page.

“Speaker Pelosi,

I am completely and absolutely opposed to any and all so-called attempts at more “gun control”. This includes your call for gun registration. Registration is nothing more than the precursor to confiscation…or the attempt at it, and we both know that’s your ultimate aim.

Rest assured that any further attempts at gutting the Second Amendment by you or members of your party will result in my working against you to the maximum and doing all that I legally can to see you and other supporters of gun control/registration defeated. I believe that thousands upon thousands of other Americans will be doing the same thing.

I hope that each of you will do your part in this fight. If we don’t, regardless of Heller and regardless of the Constitution, the anti-freedom gun-grabbers will find some damned way to finish off the Second Amendment.

Again, despite your disgust with these politicians, be polite. Don’t let your temper make you lose control or say something you might regret. Trust me, I have to work at it, too, but it can be done.

In short, it’s going to take us all to prevail.

Thank you, Stephen, for and excellent post. I agree that NOW is the time to stand up and not to curl up on the floor in despair. We, the gun community, must stand up and be heard...one voice does not bother the weasels in Washington, but let a voice of thousands shake the very foundation of the Capitol. Please, lets do all we can and talk to everyone we know to join ranks with us, stand up and fight for our rights, make phone calls, send emails, let you voice be heard...before it is to late.

I hope you're right, she is a:

* ticking time bomb,
* loose cannon,
* self serving demagogue; and,
the list goes on.

She's a threat to American life as we know it.
