In Tabor City, North Carolina (middle of nowhere), a house caught fire last week. The fire was extinguished with no one being injured. The case is being investigated as arson.

The occupant of the house was a 17-year-old male. A North Carolina state senator gave him the house, and was giving him money which he had used to buy vehicles.
"[The Senator] told me if I go to school he would put a roof over my head and money in my pocket, and I signed up for school and I will start classes when classes start back," said [the young man]. "We made a deal and he stuck by it."

According to [the young man], [The senator] was also giving him money regularly which he used to buy a Corvette. The teen said the senator additionally helped him pay for his truck and four wheeler.

Makes you wonder how often the Senator "visits".

It was probably a private cash sale. A minor cannot execute legal documents.

You can buy older Corvettes in less than pristine condition for as little as $5,000.

I know we're more used to hearing about young women being supported by older men but it's the 21st century.

The fire was an arson.

Maybe the 17 year old's former Sugar Daddy was jealous.

Why not both? This kid got those, a 4-wheeler, and a house.

The details of this story are too bizarre for words. The teen is accused of setting fire to the home of the senator's former law partner, and the senator has a restraining order against the teen.

BTW, it is not unknown for senators to take care of the children of their lovers. Anyone remember Strom Thurmond?

It's also not unknown for senators to take care of their current or ex lovers. Sometimes they even get them government jobs if they're old enough.

Ohboy:
[The Senator, who is an attorney] has a rocky relationship with many of his clients, as proven by dozens of police reports, just in the last year.

There are about 20 reports, nearly all of them involving altercations between the Senator and his clients.

That was an interesting article, but what a poorly written piece of English...
