Got my PIN this afternoon. 26 days from the day it was sent to TX DPS. I'm surprised. Now I hope they process it as quickly.
Cheers,
Jason

I live in Austin so dropped off my application in person at DPS on June 12th. Received my pin today, July 7th.

Yes, called them a few times. Everything is being processed and is "ok".

A friend of mine from work had some exciting news for me today. He got his license in the mail yesterday (45 days) not a renewal either. His Son's license has not arrived yet, but they are hopeful it will show up in the next few days.
That is by far the quickest new application I've heard of go to license. I was quick to tell him how lucky he was. That would NEVER happen to me.
Longtooth, this group of people took their course with Britt.

Robert_De_Nero,
My PIN arrived in the mail. Like I said, 26 days from the time I sent out my application.
I sure hope I'm as luck as the friend mentioned above. If thats the case, I should get mine next week. I won't hold my breathe though.
Cheers,
Jason

One of my students just told me this past weekend that he got his new license in only 33 days, mailbox to mailbox. I was a little skeptical, but maybe things are going better in Austin, after all.

Jason-
Thanks for the reply.... I was thinking that no one saw my question there for a while. Well they recieved my application on 6/30/06 so I am thinking that I should get my PIN in the mail any day now. Man I can't wait to get that CHL!!
