I think ammo is getting a little easier to find, excpet, of course, for .380. I see the story is dated today, but they IMHO are a tad behind in the timing on this story.
There's my $0.02 worth!

Now, if a manufacturer would concentrate on .380, a lot of people (LCP owners) would be very happy!

I'm sooooo glad I sold both of my .380's.
Not that 9mm, .40, or .45 are that much easier to find...

Jason Gregory, who manages Gretna Gun Works just outside of New Orleans, has been building his personal supply of ammunition for months. His goal is to have at least 1,000 rounds for each of his 25 weapons.
A goal of at least 25,000 rounds - that's what I call hoarding.
I agree with some of the previous posters - this article is a few months behind the times.

The article says Obama signed teh law "last month" to allow concealed carry in Nat'l Parks. Wasn't that like March??
edit: found answer: It was in May, so this article is from June. Just reprinted again as if it were news.
May news,

The last 4 or 5 times I've been in Wal-Mart in Spring, they've had .40 and .45 from Federal. I haven't seen any WWB in a while, but the Federal boxes are cheaper.

My supply is looking respectable again.

I guess I'll have to start checking Wally World again. They haven't had anything in so long in the stores that I frequent that I don't always check.

The Wal-Mart in DeSoto on I-35 had a fair selection when I went through there recently. FYI...It's not too far from ya.

The Wal*Mart in Atascocita still has lots of empty shelves in their ammo cabinet. It's been 6 months or more since I've seen any handgun ammo there at all. Academy in Humble, only a few miles away, has significantly more available.
It feels like the shortage at Wal*Mart, at least that particular store, is more by design than due to market shortages.

The Wally World by me is hit pretty hard when anything comes in. You have to be there before 8 or so in the morning or anything they do get in is wiped out.
