Galveston County Background

So, I am STILL WAITING!!! I have called because I was tired of seeing "Processing Application" on the website and was curious what the hold up is. They told me that they are still waiting on my background check. I know that the only place they will be doing a background check is in Galveston County. Has anyone else that is in Galveston County received their license recently after a long wait?

I'm in Galveston Co. also and have been waiting quite a while.
April 1st I wrote the check for my 3rd renewal of my CHL. On the 3rd renewal there is no course/range required - basically
just pay the fees and do fingerprints.
I had a local PD do the fingerprints and after a month or so they were rejected. I then had the PD do them again, mailed them in and after another month or so they sent my fingerprint card back because I forgot to fill in "USA" as citizenship. I filled that in, mailed it back waited a month and then they rejected the fingerprints a second time.
So I then made an appointment and went to one of the electronic fingerprint places (Pearland,Tx.) and mailed the card back to Austin in August.
Since then I waited about a month and finally someone told me the fingerprints were accepted NOW I just have to wait
for the processing!!!! I looked again today at the status and it still just says "Processing Application".
