Gentlemen, it is with a heavy heart that I come in here, and ask for your prayer. Tonight, I watched my wife and children pack up and walk out the door. After 15 years, our marriage is over. I admit that , while I am a religious man, I have not be a strong practicer of my faith. It is in this deepest darketst hour, that I realize that the Lord Jesuse Christ is here by my side, helping me cope with the hurt and pain that I am feeling. I don't like to be a selfish man, but I am weak and need the thoughts and prayers of the fine members of this board to help give me the strength to make it through this.
I am ashamed to be posting this, admiting to the failure of my marriage. It is a heavy burden that I must take to my grave. But I hope the spiritual support will give me strength to carry that burden.
David

Dear Lord, I entreat you to grant David fortitude as you did Job and Daniel.

BigBlueDodge,
Families splitting up are hard on all involved - been there and done that a quarter century ago. I hope that all of you find comfort, love and peace in yourselves and your surroundings in the times ahead.
Good luck and God Bless you, your wife and your children,
Greg

Having been through the same pain myself you can be sure my prayers are with you and also your family. A break-up is hard on all parties and I pray for you all to find peace and comfort in your troubled times.

May God bless and strengthen you all. May He grant you the peace and comfort that only He can bring. It is through His sons name that I pray. Amen

Dear Jesus,
I pray that you give BigBlue comfort, peace, and strength during these times. I pray that you encourage him to seek your face daily, and I pray for his family that they all will once again, be one. I also pray that you would shower that home with your grace and peace that passes understanding and that you would show mercy to his home. You, Lord, initiated the home and it is to you we look to for keeping it whole. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.
"But my God shall supply all your needs according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19 (emphasis mine).

Dear Big Blue,
With tears in my eyes I pray that you will be able to go on. This very nearly happened to me only a few years ago and the Lord helped me get through that period and brought my wife and I together again. I can only imagine your pain. We would all give our lives to save our children, so please, continue to be the father your kids deserve. If you and your wife are not able to reconcile, seeing them grow up will get you through.
Sincerely,
C-dub

Friends,
I am bringing this thread back to the top. After a long, and difficult time, my situation is finally complete. After a long, trying time, the divorce has granted. From this experience I realize that I never really knew what kind of woman I had been married to for over 15 yrs. But that chapter is over, and I look forward to the next stage of my life.
I thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. Your prayers were welcomed and gave me support in a difficult time. Understandably, visiting this forum was not top of my priority, as I had many demons to wrestle, and other priorities to tend to. But I am back, looking forward to learning from our fellow members, watching the 2011 legislative session, and contributing where I can.
David
