Is anyone going? I am. Yayyyy! First gun show I'll be attending in 23 years.
I'm really looking forward to going. I'm carrying a bunch of stuff to try to get rid of. Don't know that I'll be able to, but that's my plan. Need to fund a few things. AndyC, I'll have a few cloth maps with me just in case.

The rest will be collectible military knives from WWII....and a few "select" others. Can we say Ek?
I'm sure a lot of things have changed. But also a lot of things remain the same(I hope).
I'll be the one wearing a "namebadge" that's exactly like the logo in the upper left hand corner of the forum(thanks dicion, I remembered!) If you see me stop me and make me shake your hand.
Hope to see you all who can make it!

Have a good time! I haven't been to the gun show in a long time, but it hasn't been 23 years either!

I'm thinking about going on Sunday. Been a few years since I hit a show...maybe I'll do some holster shopping.

Yes. 30.06 anytime I have been to one. I just leave ammo and mags in car, present my EMPTY carry weapon to the guy/officer zip-tying them, them once secured, place it back in my holster.

I'm going today, and I'll be there around 1ish. I'll be holster shopping too, among other things.

I was considering going myself this time around...in the market for a rifle. Perhaps I will see some of you there.

Just got back from the show.It wasn't the show I was hoping to go to.

This one was the High Caliber Gun & Knife Show. It looked to me they had maybe 900 tables. Small show. But I'm glad I went. It worked out way better that I could have imagined.
Bought a Don Hume IWB for the Colt Government .380, and bought a spare magazine for it. I sold 2 WWII G.I. issue knives, and 3 web slings(for M-1 Garrand). The bottom line is I walked out with $1 more than I came in with. And that included admission.
All in all a very good day for me. Yay! I now have a decent conceal holster!
Other things: Lots of ammo. Still way overpriced, but not at obscene levels. Eg: Fiocchi .380 box of 50: $32.50. WWB 100 count .45: $38.00. 9mm box of 50: $17.95. Lots of new gun dealers. MANY Glock dealers. It seems that all models in all calibers were in the $449.00 range. Some a little more. I saw several Sig's P238. One was $675(multi-colored) and another for $519 I THINK. (blued) Several tactical shotguns. The Remington 870 Tactical with rail: $449. Ton's of AR's with almost all of them in the $1,100 range, more or less. Several holster dealers...most of them had the Uncle Mike's types. A gun belt guy was there. I almost bought one. Most were priced at $29.95 and they seemed pretty decent quality, and stiffer than a board. Very thick, double layer sewn. Lots of accessories people there(AR parts, magazines, etc.) Didn't see any reloading stuff except bags of empty brass.
There wasn't a lot of non-gun related tables there. No jewelery dealers...a couple of jerky sales people. LOTS of knife dealers, dealing in new knives. And only 2 or 3 militaria guys there.
All in all a good day. I got there at 1:45 and left around 4:40. I walked the entire show about 1.5 times.

I am not surprised Glock dealers are trying to unload their stock. Glock is launching the Generation 4 at the Jan 2010 SHOT Show.

Did any of you who went today notice if there were any Sig P238s available?

What are the supposed (or known) upgrades/changes from the 3rd Gen. Glocks to 4th. Gen?

I skimmed right over that!!
We were with a friend at a gunshow in San Antonio a few months ago. He got a new 2 tone one for a much better price that I havent' seen matched at any of the local gun shows recently.
I shot his and --it's one of those deals, I liked it but I don't
really need it; but I've been keeping my eye on it at the same time!
I guess I wait it out a while longer. Thanks for the info!

The Sig P238 is really a sweet sweet little gun! I took an interest to it straight away, comparing it to my gun. Gosh it's tiny!
