Boise, Idaho, Sunday -- Two men were arrested around 3:23 a.m. and charged with hunting-related and weapon offenses after shooting at a deer with "a .410 shotgun handgun."

I'm guessing that would be a Taurus Judge.

Let's hope these two don't reproduce. They're swimming in the shallow end of the gene pool.

Dumb and Dumber. Wonder how close they would have to be for a .410 handgun to be effective? Maybe they are related to the jerk that climbed in the enclosure with the tame buck at Bear Creek Park last year and killed it, cut off his head and then was stupid enough to bragg about his "trophy".

The .410 was invented to make skeet and trap more competitive for people who can hit 999 clays out of 1,000 with a 12-gauge. I guess it's OK for hunting delicate birds like dove. It is not a deer load.
I can only hope they were so drunk or stoned that they missed every shot.

If it was a Taurus Judge they could have been shooting .45 Colt, which is adequate for deer. The article doesn't say what kind of round they shot, just that it's a handgun chambered for .410. I'm pretty sure that spotlighting deer is illegal there though, as is shooting from a road, but try to remember that this is a news article.

It is a news article, but I would expect even reporters in Idaho to know something about guns and hunting.
I can't find any further information about this incident.

And for that expectation, you should now go with a face-palm.
The great state of Idaho has also begun to be invaded by hordes of Californicators trying to subdue the lawless and civilize the rest of the wild west like they have done on the coast.

I started to post a good example, then remembered it was Utah, not Idaho.
Still worth a review, though.
