Wally Walk & 1st Day Out (1/3)

Spent my 1st CHL day out today doing typical weekend shopping activities (other than having a Christmas Wreath over my head)! Concealed my Glock 26 @ 3:00 position in a Bianchi Professional Clip IWB holster late morning. Continued day playing w/my girls @ home. Early afternoon, went to Walmart for my first public walk! Shopped with family for everything from Zhu Zhu’s to 75% Off Christmas Clearance items. Spoke to several store associates to see if I’d get nervous or be too self-conscious! All was well and I felt completely comfortable – both in terms of concealment & comfort. :leaving

Below is a photo of my Wally Walk. I had fleece coat on for most of day, but got brave and spent a little bonus time in Walmart with coat off for picture shots!!!

I’ll be ordering a Minotaur MTAC holster (IWB) this week so I can have the option of tucking my shirts in comfortably. I’ve read remarkable reviews on these Comp-Tac holsters and have decided to give them a shot.

This particular Walmart no longer has McDonald's offering services, but we did go through a drive thru for a couple happy meals w/those chipmunk things less than a mile away :nono:

My official 1st walk in public was still Walmart!

I apologize for not having more photos. My time is often cut short to chase down & secure my 2 ½ year old energizer bunny daughter! I swear she acts like a combination of these smilies:
:woohoo + :reddevil + :anamatedbanana + = my little girl!

Way to go G26TR!! Another WalMart safe and secure! But, most importantly - how did you make out on finding the Zhu Zhu's??

I went shopping with my daughter and grand daughter today - Sam's Club, Lowe's, Target, etc. I was well concealed (XD9mmSC in Galco IWB holster) - until 21/2 year old grand daughter decided to grab my cover shirt and flap it back and forth maniacally.

ES4Me,

We found the Zhu Zhu's at Walmart - they must have had over a dozen to choose from. We bought a couple extra today (one for each of the girls), but Santa managed to find a full set before Christmas (after several midnight runs to catch palette right off delivery truck).

I'm waiting for the day that either of my daughters blows my cover... My younger daughter (2 1/2) will do just as you've described if I'm not quick enough :reddevil And my older 5 1/2 year old daughter will just start talking about guns if I don't watch it :bigmouth She's seen me online looking at youtube reviews and knows that I visit range nearly every week.

Your two and a half year old is going to get you! I just had to lean in close to the shopping cart and hold my jacket sides down to minimize the risk of exposure. You are one step ahead of the game as you are expecting it!

Wish I could offer up some advice for the 5 year old. I wasn't expecting it at all when my 16 year old son says to me this evening "So Mom, ya carrying your gun tonight? I can't tell by looking at you. Where are you hiding it?" in a loud voice amongst the laundry detergent and fellow shoppers at Wally World. :eek6

His 17th b-day is in a few weeks. He may not make it...... :cup:
