Talking about JFK today and someone told me that they read somewhere the JFK shooting wasnt possible.

So I ask you shooters, do you think it was an unlikely shot or do you think it was doable?

After watching the Zapruder, I believe that was the name, video through the years I'm convinced it was doable.

Reckon that's what Erykah Badu was trying to check out?

Just out of curiosity, where were you when Walter Cronkite announced that the President had been shot in Dallas, Texas?

I lived on a ranch north of Kerrville...I had just come back to the house from a morning of deer hunting. Let's see, I was 16 years old and no I wasn't playing hooky from school, I had declared it an official personal hunting holiday the night before.

Ironically, in my High School history class. I was on my way deer hunting when Ruby shot Oswald.

Ditto. If you go up to the 6th floor museum and look down at the two Xs on the pavement where the two bullet hits occurred, it is only 189 feet, or 63 yards. That's an easy shot at that distance, even downhill on a moving target. The distance just isn't far enough for the ballistics to be that complicated. You can't look through the actual window Oswald shot from, but you can look down from the window next to it, only a few feet to the right. I was amazed at how close it really was. You'll be surprised.

6th grade classroom, La Fetra Elementary School in Glendora, California. The principle came to the classroom door and called the teacher over to the door. He whispered something to her, and when she turned around to face us, she was in tears, and she said, "Children, the President has just been shot."

I'll never forget that day. It made a huge impression on me.

I was standing in formation waiting to be marched to the cafeteria for lunch at Allen Military Academy in Bryan, when the commander of the corps of cadets made the announcement. No one spoke during their meals. After lunch, the battalion was marched to their afternoon classes. My first class was MS&T(military science and tactics). The only thing we talked about were the what if's of declaring martial law, and if it was a possibility, and the ramifications of the events of the day.

I'll never forget that day.

4th Grade, Wharton, TX. Our teacher, Mrs. Griggs was crying when she told us. It didn't really sink in at that age.

The shots were very possible and the third shot effect on JFK is consistent with a shot from behind. IMHO
I learned an interesting tidbit on the cause of death for Oswald other than the obvious GSW. My best friend's father was an MD as was his brother who was at Parkland. Oswald needed so much blood they didn't have time to warm it thoroughly and "cold" blood sent him into shock. That's what the guy said. I was sitting across from him at a table when he said it to my friend's dad.

edited for spelling

I think the question isn't about distance or difficulty, its about the number of shots fired in the time frame they were fired. Is it possible for one man to do it? And of course, the path of the magic bullet.
