WTS in DFW: Colt Gold Cup

I have a mint Colt Gold Cup for sale in DFW. It's blued, has the original wrap-around rubber grips, Colt checkered medallion grips, 2-8rd Colt stainless mags, box and papers. This gun has been to Wilson Combat for trigger work and a reliability package. It shoots like a dream and has 200rds through it. I'm not worthy of it's accuracy... ;)
For now, I'm considering face to face transactions only. I wouldn't be selling but I don't get this one out to play and I have my eye on a new toy.
Price is $900. Trades will be considered but I'm really wanting to raise some cash.

Dave, you've got sixth sense ?????Geez, I'm gun broke but I promise myself two guns.. Last two guns I will buy and I will be set.. Due to personal nostalgic reason as soon as I can afford, I would like to buy a Colt Gold Cup and an no frills AR.. I'M NOT READY YET!! And of all people, how dare you show uo with both..
Take Care Dave and try not to be so cruel to your faithful buyers!!
The Colt Gold Cup was my Dad's favorite when living and my younger brother carries the same gold cup these days...
Good Luck on the sales!!

Rey as your friend maybe I should help remove some of that "baggage." I could start with the Gold Cup.

Cosmo 9, I guess we can hijack this thread now since the Gold Cup is a done deal..

!! I appreciate your concern and no denial here, I know I'm I should enroll and join the 1911 rehab support group!! I promise this is the last one !! I threw away my Wilson Combat and Les Baer catalogs... ( got to admit though I was shaking and shivering last night)... Also, I got some polymer in my blood G26,G19 and G17.. I terribly miss the G23 I sold..

..Now let's not go into sigs..Got a couple of those two.. My goodness, somebody just please shoot me..
You know who really need to go to rehab is Dubya!! I swear he bought all the good deal 1911's the last month or so and still buying!!
Ya' take care!!

Gosh, I probably need a drink!!!
Being the good neighbor that I am, I'll hold on to that Colt for you while you get sloshed and forget who you gave it too.
That truly is a beautiful gun and I can only think of one other person that would appreciate it as much.

Thanks.. Yes, you can keep the GC while I enjoy this nice bottle of cabernet ... Were your ears burning this p.m. while Dave and I were feasting at he club ?? Anyway, w/c grip do you think would go well w/ it, the wrap around rubber or the original colt woods??
Thanks Gary!!
